Our team provides a deep understanding of the HR world with qualifications and experience across various industries, and a commitment to upholding the values of Career Pursuit in all client work and communications. With 10+ years experience across state and local government and private enterprise in different states, combined with qualifications in HR and safety, and a passion for organisational behaviour and culture, Ash's focuses is on using her skills and experience to identify contemporary HR solutions for clients to stand out as an employer of choice.
Meet our Founder and Chief Hiring Nerd - Ash Battye
As a die-hard hiring enthusiast with a thing for espresso martinis, Ash is definitely the nerd you want on your team. Her career has covered all aspects of human resources, covering many industries and has taken her across Australia.
Settling in Perth Western Australia and after a few years in recruitment and HR roles in different industries, she experienced a common theme across all roles, and she saw an opportunity to branch out in an area that had interested her for some time - helping job applicants get through the hurdles of recruitment processes. As a recruiter, she would find it so disheartening to turn down candidates who didn't have a well-put-together resume and weren't able to properly convey their skills and experience in relation to the role.
“It was so frustrating seeing talent being overlooked. I found myself wanting to follow up with them all and give them the support they needed to make sure their applications made it through the review process and put them in proper consideration for the position.”
This led to Career Pursuit being launched in 2021, with the initial focus on Job Seeker Services. But there was more that Ash wanted to achieve.
“I thrive on collaborating with businesses to understand their unique challenges and tailoring the solutions that make a real difference. It's more than just HR; it's about empowering teams to reach their full potential."
So in 2022, Career Pursuit pivoted to focus on Hiring and HR Admin Support. With the focus on small to medium-sized businesses experiencing periods of growth and expansion, Career Pursuit provides tailored Hiring and HR admin support at every stage.
