Our aim is to impart our knowledge of hiring, so that small and medium sized businesses like you can learn the process to hire your dream team with confidence. We offer a range of support options to help you do this, whatever level of support you need.

​To me, there is no point in hiding information, and the best answered questions are those that are answered before you have to ask. I aim to provide open, honest and transparent communication at all times, and in a format and frequency that suits your working style.

There's no bullsh*t here. I'm a smartass, I'm sarcastic, I swear (sorry Mum). BUT, I so genuinely want people to grow and succeed and I'm here for that. I follow through on what I say I'm going to and apologise if I miss something and want to have open, collaborative discussions for us to grow your business together.

To me, this is not a relationship where you just simply give me a list of instructions or tasks for me to go off and follow and complete. More importantly, I'm also here to be a sounding board, to give advice, offer my suggestions, bounce ideas off each other and be a collaborative member of your team to help your business grow!​

I'm a lifelong learner, and I love sharing any knowledge I have as well and my goal is to empower business owners and equip you with the knowledge and confidence you need to run your processes and your businesses yourself (but of course, I hope you still want me alongside even once you can do it yourself!).

Everyone is welcome as they are here, and it doesn’t have to be all serious all the time. It’s all about having some fun with your business to keep your creativity going and your stress levels down. We also all have lives, some with family, some with other jobs or education or just business itself. It’s ok if you show up with a child on your lap or in your pyjamas or from a park or your car!

Who We Are: The Brief Background

With a Bachelor of Commerce and 10+ years in internal recruitment and HR admin experience, I am a total nerd for recruitment! I genuinely love the relationships and partnerships I get to build as part of a recruitment process, both with hiring managers and with candidates. I could talk about recruitment all day, and I genuinely love to share my knowledge in this topic, set businesses up for success in their hiring and provide biz owners and managers with the confidence they need to hire their dream teams!

Who We Are: The Long Story
​

With a Bachelor of Commerce, majoring in Human Resource Management, I developed a career in generalist human resources administration and along the way, I found a love of internal recruitment. I've enjoyed experiences where I got to connect hiring managers and job applicants and be a part of building strong teams. I've worked in Queensland, the Northern Territory, and Western Australia, both in Perth and the top end. 

​

After taking time away from recruitment (and the workforce in general) while having my first tiny human, I saw an opportunity to branch out to an area that had interested me for some time - helping job applicants get through the hurdles of recruitment processes. As a recruiter, it would be so disheartening to turn down candidates who didn't have a well-put-together resume and weren't able to properly convey their skills and experience in relation to the role. As more time went on, I wished more and more that I could follow up with each of these candidates and offer them support to make sure their applications made it through the review process and put them in proper consideration for the position. 

​

I commenced Career Pursuit with the CV side of the business. I love helping job seekers to reach their goals. But I missed the organisational side of the recruitment process, as I genuinely love partnering with people leaders and hiring managers to identify their needs, and find the right fit for their teams. My logical mindset also loves the process of developing policies, procedures and templates.

 

And so the second part of Career Pursuit was born - Career Pursuit Virtual Business Services. With my 10+ years of experience in internal recruitment and generalist HR admin, my business focuses on helping small to medium-sized businesses in their periods of growth and expansion, by providing support through recruiting new team members and implementing HR policies and procedures.
