Meet the team behind the scenes at Career Pursuit. 

I’m Ash and I’m the Chief Hiring Nerd here, but did you know I have an amazing team behind me that works with me to deliver exceptional support to our clients? 

Here’s a fun fact about us: Our values aren’t just fancy words on a wall, we practise them every day. Whether it’s transparent communication, collaboration, authenticity, balancing family, or just having fun while we work, we’re committed to living our values and helping you do the same.

Meet the team behind the scenes, and learn more about who is here to support YOU - 

✨Sarah & Paul - the husband & wife duo, Sarah is my right hand hiring helper and sanity saver, and both provide hiring support

Sarah and Paul from PS Unlocked are a husband and wife team based on the Gold Coast. Sarah joined the team here first, and Paul joined us later as our client base expanded. 

With backgrounds in sales, customer service and management, both Sarah and Paul have experience in recruitment, and have hit the ground running supporting our clients. 

Outside of work, Paul and Sarah both love going to the movies, eating out and spending a few hours in Timezone! Unfortunately for Paul, Sarah loves watching B grade movies on Netflix! While Paul find joy in building Lego every chance he gets! Both value family time with the kids as the biggest priority which is why this business suits them so they are able to attend school events and be there for school pickups and drop offs. 

Paul collects basketball cards, lego and pop vinyls, while Sarah collects Monopoly sets and anything Harry Potter (I’ve seen it in the background of Zooms!), and both are food motivated, with Paul wanting to travel back to Japan because of the food and the culture, while Sarah would be heading to America to enjoy a food adventure across the country. 

✨Victoria - hiring support 

Victoria has a background in psych and counselling, where she would recruit, screen and interview volunteers. She now has her own VA biz, but joined the team here as she liked the idea of being part of a team that helps other businesses find their perfect candidates. 

Outside of work, she loves spending time with her family, watching footy and trying out new restaurants. Her favourite karaoke song is Bohemian Rhapsody, and if she could have any superpower, it would be to fly so she could travel anywhere she wanted.

✨Jess - VA and ad hoc hiring support 

Jess joined the team initially as VA, and also supports with recruitment. She enjoys supporting the team here as it’s welcoming, with the same values of honesty, transparency and helping others.

She is married with 2 little sausage dogs (they join us on most of our weekly Zooms). She enjoys travelling anywhere and it’s her goal in life to make others smile. She has another business in content creation and wedding coordination, enjoying capturing beautiful moments and being around happy moments. 

Jess enjoys having her own business (both), as she can be flexible with her time, able to go away and take her work with her, juggling life without feeling tied to a desk working for someone else. 

Outside of work, her favourite karaoke song is Lose Yourself by Eminem, and she spent a year living in New Zealand alone after deciding to move there after a 2 week holiday, and would travel to Japan if given the chance, as she’s heard nothing but great things, loves Japanese food and would love to ride the Mario carts around the city. Final words: What’s meant to be for you, will find you one way or another.
